Indian Army has announced recruitment under the Direct Entry Scheme for the positions of Havildar and Naib Subedar through Employment News (June 29 to July 05, 2024). Applications are invited from unmarried Indian male and female candidates who are outstanding sportspersons. Eligible candidates who have participated in International/Junior or Senior National Championships, Khelo India Games, or Youth Games between April 1, 2022, and March 31, 2024, can apply for Intake 02/2024.

Indian Army Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria:

Direct Entry Havildar:

• Educational Qualification: Minimum requirement is matriculation (10th class).
• Age Limit: Candidates should be between 17 ½ to 25 years old. The age will be calculated from the first day of enrolment.

Sports Achievements (Any of the following):

• Medalist at Junior/Senior level representing State in National competitions.
• Represented the country at the International level (Individual event).
• Represented State/Country in National or International competitions (Team event).
• Medalist in Khelo India Games & Youth Games or above.

Direct Entry Naib Subedar:

• Educational Qualification: Minimum qualification is matriculation (10th class).
• Age Limit: Candidates should be between 17 ½ to 25 years old.

Sports Achievements (Any of the following):

• Medalist in World Championship/Asian Championships.
• Medalist in Asian Games.
• Medalist in Commonwealth Games (CWG)/World Cup.
• Represented India twice in Asian Games/Commonwealth Games/World Cup.
• Represented India in the Olympics.

Selection Process:

• Candidates will undergo trials at designated Army Centres.
• Selection is based on Physical Fitness Test, Physical Standards Test, and Skill Test.
• Medical examination will be conducted at the trial site for qualified candidates.
• Enrolment offers will be extended based on sports discipline requirements and vacancies availability.
